Hour of Power 50th Anniversary Clip – On May 30, 1993, the 80-foot American flag was raised in the Crystal Cathedral in honor of Memorial Day weekend. This episode aired in HOP #1217.

Tony Bancroft is an animator and a native of Orange County, California. For over a decade, he worked for Disney Feature Animation and was the supervising animator for Pumbaa the Warthog in The Lion King and co-director of the animated classic Mulan. In 2002, he left Disney Animation to found Toonacious, a Christian-themed animation studio — a move that stretched and tested his faith. In addition to his extensive experience in the animation field, he is also an author, a podcast host, and a program director and associate professor at Azusa Pacific University.

Voices of Hope Children’s Choir, directed by Sarah Grandpre, goes virtual and performs “I Smile” (comp: Kirk Franklin; James Harris III; Terry Lewis; Fred Tackett). This group of 1st through 10th grade children is a professional youth choral program which offers musical excellence and a performance experience in a safe and supportive Christian environment.

The Hour of Power Choir, directed by Dr. Irene Messoloras, goes virtual and performs “Psalm 23” (arr: Craig Courtney). The choir is accompanied by Zeljko Marasovich on organ, Zach DeChance on piano and Dr. Marc Riley and the Hour of Power Orchestra.
