Dear friends, we Christians are called to live according to the commands of God. In Romans 12:12, Paul gives us three actions we can do that are essential for our emotional and spiritual well-being.

The first is to rejoice in hope. Our hope is in Christ, and that is reason enough to rejoice. No matter what our situation, we can have joy in the confidence of our salvation and eternal union with Jesus.

The second is to be patient in tribulation. Life can be tough, and not all moments are joyous. But let us strive to remember that the struggles of this life are not worth comparing with the glory to come.

The final action is to be constant in prayer. Praying faithfully brings us closer to our Father, who hears and understands our needs. He helps us in response to even our clumsiest attempts to communicate with Him.

No matter what comes our way, we can rejoice in hope, be patient in tribulation, and continue steadfastly in prayer thanks to Jesus.
